Angel Locsin and other “Heroes” amid the pandemic on the cover of Tatler Philippines May issue!

The past few months have been tough. This pandemic has turned our life upside down. It has affected our economy, our livelihood, even our mental health. But during this time, we see how humanity persevere more than ever. We see how people come together to help one another and contribute their resources, knowledge and service.

On May 4, Tatler Philippines released a digital magazine called “Heroes”. On their Instagram account they explained what it’s all about “In this special edition of Tatler Philippines, we join hands with other Tatler Asia publications to highlight the “Heroes” of the crisis. We recognise the frontliners who are risking their own lives for our countrymen. We pay homage to individuals and companies, from industries of: business, government, transportation, entertainment, healthcare, F&B and more who are all playing a vital role in “flattening the curve.” They have become our modern-day heroes.” On the cover are some of our frontliners, Vico Sotto, and Angel Locsin!

Angel Locsin’s philanthropic efforts have been recognized internationally as she lands on the list of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy recognizing her relief efforts over the past years.

This time, Tatler Philippines recognizes Locsin’s efforts to help our frontliners through her #UniTENTweStandPH campaign launched last March 25. This campaign aims to provide isolation tents to hospitals who are now operating at full or over capacity because of the increasing Covid-19 related cases. The team has raised over 11M pesos in 19 days and  was able to deliver tents to 135 hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces.

The past few months have been tough but it would have been tougher without these modern-day heroes!
