Yorme Isko Moreno thanks Angel Locsin for donating 300 sacks of rice for the people of Manila; Acknowledged receipt of the first 50 sacks on April 23.




Angel Locsin is unstoppable when it comes to helping others. With the resources that she have, the actress makes sure to extend a helping hand to those who needs it the most as much as she can.


As early as March 20, when the President declared an enhanced community quarantine, Angel launched a project which aims to help our health workers to have a place to stay near hospitals and set-up air conditioned sleeping tents in Taguig.


Days after the said project, Angel Locsin once again launched a campaign which this time, aims to help solve overcrowding in hospitals. To date, the team has delivered over 200 tents to over 100 hospitals in Metro Manila and other provinces.


Aside from being the frontliner of the #UniTENTweStandPH team with her fiance Neil Arce, Angel Locsin is also sending personal donations like PPEs, alcohol, facemasks, organic milk and giving medical assistance to the people who seek for her help and on her birthday, Angel Locsin once again extends a helping hand by donating 300 sacks of rice to the city of Manila.




On his official Facebook page, Mayor Isko Moreno expressed his gratitude to the actress and acknowledged receipt of the first 50 of the 300 sacks of rice pledged by Locsin.


"Maraming salamat po, Ms. Angel Locsin sa inyong donasyong 300 sako ng bigas para sa Lungsod ng Maynila.


Malugod pong tinanggap ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ngayong Huwebes, ika-23 ng Abril ang paunang 50 na sako ng bigas na agad po nating ibaba sa ating mga barangay.

Instead of expecting gifts on her birthday, Angel Locsin continues to be the gift to everyone. Her generosity and her heart that's always willing to give is indeed a blessing. A real-life Darna indeed!

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
