Municipality of Angono Rizal sends their gratitude to Angel Locsin for donating two tents for their front liners!




On their Facebook Page, Angono Public Information Office thanked actress Angel Locsin for donating two tents for their front liners.


“Maraming salamat, Ms. Angel Locsin sa ipinagkaloob mo dalawang tent para magamit ng ating mga frontliners ngayong COVID-19.

#WESTANDPH,” said on their post.


There’s no denying that Locsin’s initiative to help the front liners fight the novel coronavirus through her campaign #UniTENTweStandPH has been a catalyst for “Bayanihan” this time of pandemic crisis. Many responded to Angel’s call for help to provide additional space in overcrowding hospitals and provide medical supplies and personal protective equipment to healthcare workers which made P11 million cash donation in just two weeks possible.


On Friday, the philanthropic actress share how grateful she is for the generosity of everyone who took part in the project and announced that team #UniTENTweStandPH would be signing off. Her post went:




“To help solve the overcrowding in hospitals, #UniTENTweStandPH was launched, a campaign YOU all have made possible through 135 hospitals nationwide , 246 tents and PHP 11,359,856.89 in total in just nineteen days.


In the beginning our only dream was to provide tents to hospitals for patients, for our frontliners, to address the challenge in overcrowding, and to help lessen the increase of spreading the virus in hospitals, but because you were all so generous and kind, we received from you donations of food, PPEs, aircon and many others kaya naman po dahil sa inyo we were able to give out not only tents but also PPEs and other supplies.


We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, tent suppliers,  YOU who have shared a part of your hearts through our campaign. You have reached out your helping hands even while you are home and did not only give but sent out love and prayers to those who needed your help. Maraming Salamat po sa lahat ng inyong kabutihan.


Sa bawat ospital na naabot at natulungan po ninyo, taos puso po ang aming pasasalamat.

Anumang pagsubok ay ating kakayanin basta’t tulong-tulong po tayo at nagkakaisa.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
