Mayor Isko calls Angel Locsin “Darna”, thanks her again for donating 2 tents to Sta. Ana Hospital!




City Manila Mayor Isko Moreno sends her sincerest gratitude once again to actress Angel Locsin for donating 2 isolation tents to Sta. Ana Hospital in Sta. Ana, Manila.


Not long ago, Angel, fiancé Neil Arce and their team have donated 12x24 isolation tents through their #UniTentWeStandPH to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients.


On his official Facebook page, he said:

“Maraming salamat kay Ms. Angel Locsin. Ito po yung Angel Locsin na binabanggit natin ay yung Angel Locsin na artista. Siya ho si kung hindi ako nagkakamali e tama ba jet si Darna? Maraming salamat Ms. Angel Locsin and Neil Arce para sa dalawang big tent na binigay na naman nila sa Sta. Ana Hospital. Maraming maraming salamat.”





The said project led by Angel and Neil aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. The donation drive also helps in the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPEs) badly needed by our brave COVID-19 front liners.


Mayor Isko also thanked Senator Manny Pacquiao for donating 5000 pcs surgical masks, Senator Pia Cayetano for 200 kls of okra, Senator Francis Kiko Pangilinan for donating vegetables from his own farm and also the other local government officials who extend their outpouring support and donations to the City of Manila.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
