In this trying situation that we’re in, we have seen how people come together to help each other. We have seen how others step up and initiate fundraisers and donation drive to help our frontliners and the people in the marginalized sector who are badly affected by the pandemic. Some of these people that we’re referring to are those who are in the entertainment industry, celebrities and stars who used their influence to raise funds for the benefit of others just like Angel Locsin, Bela Padilla and Ms. Regine Velasquez.


Ms. Regine Velasquez had her online concert just recently. One Night with Regine is an online concert which aims to raise funds for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163. It was a more or less 2 hour concert featuring Ms. Regine Velasquez and her music. She also had some special guests like Ms. Sharon Cuneta and Ms. Lea Salonga.


On the said concert, the songbird dedicated a song for Angel Locsin, she also sent her touching birthday message for the actress. “Gusto ko lang batiin si Angel Locsin ng happy happy birthday at gusto ko lang sabihin na mahal na mahal ka namin Angel.” the songbird said while almost tearing up.




“Grabe ‘yung mga ginagawa mo para sa mga frontliners, grabe ‘yung ginagawa mo para sa bansa natin, pag put-up ng mga tents” she added referring to the fundraising campaign launched by Angel Locsin which aims to help solve overcrowding in hospitals by giving them isolation tents that will help isolate Covid-19 related patients.


“Natatouch ako sa ginagawa ninyo. Angel would really go out of her way to go to hospitals. She wants to make sure na nandun ‘yung tents tapos ‘yung parang mist.” said Ms. Velasquez.


She then proceed to give touching message for Angel and said “Sobra akong natouch sa’yo and I pray that you’ll be safe and you’ll be healthy and hangang-hanga ako talaga. Ikaw talaga ang totoong Darna ng buhay naming lahat. Maraming salamat Angel”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
