Birthday surprise fail! This is how Angel Locsin welcomed her 35th birthday!




35 years ago today, an Angel was born. Born as Angelica Colmenares, she is now popularly known as Angel Locsin, the real-life Darna and literally an Angel on earth.


April 23 is a special day as it is the day that our favorite human being is celebrating her birthday. We are celebrating the life of a real-life Angel who has a big and generous heart.


On the eve of her birthday, Angel Locsin’s fiance Neil Arce and some friends organized a simple surprise amid Covid-19 pandemic and being quarantined. Her father, Mr. Angel Colmenares, Team Angel PH, and her fiance got her a birthday cake.




All these should be a surprise but because everyone is staying at home, pulling off a surprise when someone you’re about to surprise is at the same place as you are is hardly possible thus making this one an epic fail.


30 minutes before 12:00AM, Angel saw the cakes and gifts resting on her dining table “So nalaman ko ‘yung surprise nila 30 min. earlier, hindi pa nila alam na alam ko na. Surprise! Happy Birthday to me” says Locsin.


She made a wish and blow the candles and welcomed her 35th year with the person whom she’ll spend the rest of her life with, her soon to be husband Neil Arce.


Happy Birthday to the one and only Angel Locsin! Our real-life Darna who’s living up to her name as a real-life Angel. May you have all your heart’s desire and may God bless you a thousandfold because we know that the blessings that will come your way will always be shared.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
