Angel Locsin warns the public of a fake facebook page "Angel Locsin - Staffed"
Eversince enhanced community quarantine was in effect, Angel Locsin has been utilizing her resources and mobilizing efforts through her social media accounts to help those who are in the frontlines.
The actress with her fiance and some friends immediately set-up sleeping tents for the health workers in Taguig and right now, she and her team are running a fund raising campaign which aims to help overcrowding of hospitals by giving them isolation tents for Covid-19 related cases.
Everyone is affected by this pandemic. Our health care workers are lacking of enough personal protective equipment, some minimum wage earners were laid off and some who earns on a daily are still in a blur on how to make ends meet. Amidst all these, there are still some who took advantage of people's vulnerability and spread fake news or false information.
On her twitter account, Angel Locsin warns the public of a fake Facebook page named "Angel Locsin-Staffed." The said page is using Angel Locsin's photos taken from her previous relief operation in Samar. "This is not me. Mag-ingat po" the actress wrote. The admin of the page has been posting relief operations, asking their followers to send them a message for a chance to receive P1,500 "Para po sa mga nasalanta ng #COVID19 mamimigay po kami ng pera 1500..para makatulong po kmi..ipapadla po namin dyan malapit sa Palawan Jan sa lugar nyo..bsta sent inbox po dto and share this post..Maraming Salamat po"
At times like these where everyone has an access to social media, it is our obligation to be vigilant to the things we're seeing online. Do not fall for scams, always fact check and if you can, please help us report "Angel Locsin-staffed" facebook page.
