6 years later, ‘The Legal Wife’ trends anew as Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador have ‘royal rumble’




Due to the novel corona-virus disease pandemic, Luzon and other parts of the country was put under enhanced community quarantine. Big gatherings and get-togethers are prohibited, some are now working from home and everyone is advised to stay at home. Everything was put on hold including the production and taping of your favorite ongoing shows. As a work around, ABS-CBN handpicked a few shows to rerun for the time being both in primetime and kapamilya gold. Last March 23, The Legal Wife started its rerun and is airing after ‘Walang Hanggan’ before ‘Got to Believe.’


‘The Legal Wife’ still has the same impact to the viewers six years after it originally premiered. Looking back to the #TLWTheFastandTheFurious episode aired last April 24, 2014, the show dominated twitter trends with 21 related trending topics and on its rerun aired last April 14, 2020 ‘The Legal Wife’ trends anew as Monica caught her husband having an affair with her bestfriend Nicole.




In the original run, Monica's confrontation with Nicole and her initial discovery of the affair were episodes apart, in the compressed version, the memorable scene dubbed "The Royal Rumble" was also shown in the same episode. In that scene, an enraged Monica went to Nicole’s house and attack and confronted her bestfriend who is also the Mistress of her husband. Nicole revealed that she was consumed by envy and jealousy of what Monica has and the love she’s receiving from everyone around her. Monica was devastated, enraged, and disappointed.


The said scene landed on twitter trending topic as people can’t help but feel for Monica. Even up to this day, the show still has the same impact to the viewers.

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
