At this time of crisis, it is when we see everyone come together to help combat the invisible enemy. Public and private entities and individuals voluntarily extend a helping hand to alleviate the burden of our health workers in the frontlines and minimum wage earners. In  a news report, SM group is reported to pledge P100M for efforts to battle the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

One of the biggest Philippine conglomerates, SM Group pledges P100 million for COVID-19 supplies and testing kits. The amount would go toward providing personal protective equipment, test kits, alcohol and other medical supplies to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), and other hospitals. SM also reached out to the spin-off corporation that will manufacture local test kits developed by the University of the Philippines-National Institute of Health researchers, Healthtek, Inc., to distribute 20.000 tests for free to government hospitals.

Aside from these conglomerates that generously share their resources, we also have private individuals and celebrities who raise funds for those whose livelihood were affected like Bela Padilla and Maine Mendoza and who gives PPE donations and support the health worker in the frontlines like Vice Ganda and Angel Locsin.
