Philippine Coast Guard Task Force thanked Angel Locsin for providing aid to health workers!
Yesterday, PCG Task Force tweeted a photo with Angel Locsin and fiancé Neil Arce whom they came across with while extending aid to front liners in Lakeshore, Taguig City on Sunday afternoon, March 22.
“NAGPAPASALAMAT ang PCG Task Force Laban COVID-19 sa aktres na si Angel Locsin sa ibinahaging niyang pagkain habang sila ay nagpapatrolya sa Lakeshore, Taguig City ngayong hapon, 22 Marso 2020.” PCG said.
They also said that they saw the actress helping out in setting up the air conditioned tents where our health workers on the said area are temporarily residing in.
“Naabutan ng Task Force ang aktres inaayos ang ‘air conditioned tents’ na kasalukuyang nagsisilbing pahingahan ng mga health workers sa lugar.,” they added.
Our health workers and other COVID-19 warriors on the front line are risking their lives to provide aid and help prevent the further spread of the corona virus. They are the heroes of this generation who are in need of full-force assistance while facing imminent danger, mounting pressure and fatigue due to the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the country.
Angel Locsin being her philanthropic self believes that she should take part in helping them not only through prayers to shield them from this unseen invader but also to alleviate their situation by providing the assistance they need in the performance of their duties. She noted how these frontliners have been suffering due to the suspension of public transportation brought about by the enhanced community quarantine.
The actress mobilizes her social media accounts to raise funds and donations of face masks and protective equipment, bottled water, taping/folding beds, pillows and tents so our front liners can have a comfortable place to rest near or within hospital promises.
Many have responded to her request such as her friends in the industry such as Angelica Panganiban, Anne Curtis and Bea Alonzo.
