Neil Arce defends Angel Locsin after a basher called her relief efforts not genuine and fake.




Amid the pandemic that we are facing right now, Angel Locsin has been very busy in utilizing her resources and mobilizing efforts through her social media accounts to help our frontliners. The actress with her fiance Neil Arce and some friends has put-up air conditioned sleeping tents for health workers in Taguig. Right after then, they launched the #UniTENTweStandPH project which aims to help solve overcrowding in hospitals. The team has raised over 3M pesos which will benefit more than 20 hospitals.


Unfortunately, after all these, someone still dared to call Angel Locsin's efforts not genuine and fake. In a post, a basher identified as 'sociologist' and a professor claimed the it is all for publicity and self-promotion.


Neil Arce came to his fiancee's defense and refute the so-called professor's claims.

"Someone Sent me this post today. First of all my fiancé is Not trying to impress anyone So it doesnt really matter to US if you were Not impressed. Yes I agree with you I myself would rather praise frontliners who are risking their lives everyday. This is The reason why we are doing this to Help our frontliners by making sure they are protected, making sure they can rest and by making sure we do everything we can to make their lives easier. Impressing anyone Especially people like you who seems to hate on people you do Not know personally is Not at all important to us."

"Stating That she makes that much money per taping a day is far from reality and is fallacious. I honestly believe that God made her successful because God knows she Will use it to Help those who are In Need. Calling out all actors as self centered and Filipinos idiots is something we do Not Need during this time of Crisis sir. What worries me is that I read that you are a Professor is this what we are supposed to teach our students? Are we supposed to teach our students to look at everything negatively? I dont expect everyone to believe In The sincerity of The things we do. But if The people our students are supposed to learn from think this way then our country Will never really have a chance to prosper." he wrote.




Angel Locsin is no stranger when it comes to helping others. In fact, December last year, the actress was hailed as one of Forbes Asia's Heroes of Philanthropy alongside billionaires, entrepreneur and business tycoons in Asia Pacific.


Because of her humanitarian efforts she was also recognized as the ambassador for peace and humanitarian advocate. This is not the first time that someone looked at her relief efforts in a negative way but because of her genuine intentions, she did not stop doing what she can do to help others no matter what others would say.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
