JUST IN: Angel Locsin receives a Gawad Laurel Award from the Lyceum of the Philippines University!




A top-notched celebrity also known for her charitable works and humanitarian efforts, actress Angel Locsin was once again given a recognition for her disaster relief operation initiatives and other philanthropic causes.


She continues to get the stamp of approval from students and teachers as she rakes multiple awards and recognitions not just for her calibre as an actress but also as a philanthropist.




Last Thursday, she was named as a Gawad Laurel Awardee of the Lyceum of the Philippines University for her voluntary participation and altruistic desire to improve human welfare in trying times most notably during the country’s worst calamities.


The Gawad Laurel Award is one of the student award-giving bodies in the Philippines which honors the outside-campus role models such as personalities and TV programs that embodies the mission and values of their institution. The awardees are voted by the students, teachers, faculty and staff of the university. It was held at the Mini-theater of the Lyceum of the Philippines University, Intramuros, Manila.


Locsin expressed her gratitude to the organization via her Instagram saying, “From the bottom of my heart, Thank you #GawadLaurel @lyceum_official.”
