Fashion designer Michael Leyva teams up with Angel Locsin in distributing his personally created PPEs to front liners!

The lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) is just one of the results of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. And to respond to the country’s shortage in PPEs, celebrities and other big personalities are stepping up to the plate to help our brave medical workers and other front liners battling this crisis.

Despite the rising levels of fear and uncertainty, it hasn't stopped those who can, philanthropic actress Angel Locsin being first on the list, from taking initiatives in providing aid to the COVID-19 warriors on the front line.

She started a campaign to set up sleeping/quarantine tents near hospitals for health workers, calls for spare beds and other necessities that would ease their burden of having to travel to work from their homes. A donation drive to be able to help more hospitals has also been put up and more and more people are helping her cause.

One of them is the Pinoy fashion designer Michael Leyva who joins forces with Angel and team in distributing PPEs he personally produced.

On Instagram, Michael shared photos of him and Angel with the bags of PPEs they sent over to health workers in Taguig, as he expressed her sincerest gratitude to all those on the front lines fighting the coronavirus.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Sent over our first sets of PPEs for our heroes #frontliners with our hero #Darna herself @therealangellocsin ❤️❤️❤️ i decided to put bible verses and words of encouragement to uplift their day❤️❤️❤️ Mabuhay po kayo and Maraming Salamat po sa malasakit ❤️ #sinulidcontracovid #michaelleyva #michaelleyvamanila #frontlinersph.”

About 2000 protective suits are to be produced which are made of washable and waterproof fabric, the designer said as a way of giving back to front liners.
