Angel Locsin shows support for frontliners: Launched a project which aims to set-up sleeping tents within hospital premises for health workers!

Amid the pandemic that our country and other parts of the world is facing, we see humanity persevere through different acts of kindness of our countrymen. People come together to fight this invisible enemy, aside from those in the frontlines, some were raising funds for the minimum wage earners who are temporarily locked in to their homes due to community quarantine, and some were continuously helping the health workers in the frontlines by donating PPEs that they badly need.

Angel Locsin who is known for her humanitarian efforts aims to help the health workers in the frontlines. On her Instagram account, the actress appeals for donation of folding beds for the sleeping tents that they are planning to set-up within hospital premises. Locsin also appeals to her friends in the industry who can lend their taping beds while production of TV shows are still on hold.

“Hi everyone! @labellefete @neil_arce and I, understand that life is hard right now, so we’ll refrain from asking you for financial donations. Instead, we would like to ask you for stuff that you already have. We, with the assistance and recommendation of the local government, are setting up sleeping tents within hospital premises for our health workers in the frontlines so they don’t have to worry about where to stay & transportation.

To my friends in the industry, maybe you can spare your taping beds for our health workers? Also to everyone reading this, if you have available folding beds that we could borrow, we would greatly appreciate it. We’ll name the bed after the donor and you could also write down a note to thank them for their hard work.

Special thanks to my friends, Angelica Panganiban, Anne Curtis-Heussaff, and Bea Alonzo, for donating their taping beds right away  Love you girls!”

Aside from folding beds, Locsin and her team will also be needing bottled water.

“Bottled water donations are also welcome. Details are in the video.”

Locsin concluded her post with an encouraging message for everyone and wrote,

“We acknowledge that this is a challenging time for everyone, but we also know that we, Filipinos, are strong & resilient, especially when united. We made it through Ondoy, Yolanda, Mt. Pinatubo and Taal eruption, and we will surely overcome this as a nation. This is a plea to everyone to support our dear frontliners. Let’s help them save lives!”

Let us help out health workers in the frontlines to combat this virus! Watch the full video to learn how you can help.
