An Angel landed on Philippine General Hospital to help the health workers!
Angel Locsin has been out in force on social media raising awareness and crowdfunding in an effort to help the front liners who bravely and selflessly fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). She has raised funds that she used to donate tents, disinfectants and other protective gears to hospitals and help aid their problem with overcrowding.
The actress has been spotted in many hospitals all over Metro Manila and in some parts of Luzon and her acts of philanthropy are caught by those who witnessed her visits and relief efforts, posting photos and videos all over the web.
On Instagram, Angel also shared photos of the tents she raised donations for at various hospitals for transparency and to inspire, one of which is the Philippine General Hospital in Manila.
Health workers who work at PGH were overwhelmed with her initiative as part of her campaign #UniTentWeStand and posted their gratitude online. The campaign aims to provide additional safe spaces at hospitals where people can isolate and quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Thank you Ms. Angel Locsin sa pagtulong at pagdalaw mo sa amin dito sa PGH. Isa kang inspirasyon sa aming mga Frontliners. Salute to you Ms. Angel #OnePGH #BayanihanNa,” Louie Dela Cruz said on Facebook.
Another front liner who goes by the Facebook user Dong Benedicto also thanked the actress and said, “Thank you Ms. Angel Locsin for donating these much needed disinfection booths and tents here in UP-PGH! It is very useful in our fight against Covid19! #onePGH #bayanihan #fightagainstcovid19.”
Angel also announced on Instagram that their fund drive has passed the goal of raising P3 million for the tents and looking to help more than the 28 hospitals she initially listed.
Mabuhay ka, Angel!
