The iconic ‘Four Sisters and A Wedding’ is having a prequel!
Four Sisters and A Wedding is one of the most well-known family movies in the Philippines. 7 years after it premiered, the scenes from the said movie are still being quoted and references about the movie always blow up with thousands of likes and shares in various social media sites.
Just recently, Star Cinema announced that the iconic 2013 movie will be having a prequel ‘Four Sisters Before the Wedding’
Along with the announcement made by Star Cinema that the movie will be having its prequel is the announcement that the four titular roles in ‘Four Sisters and A Wedding’ will not be reprising their roles.
They introduced new faces to give life to the characters. Charlie Dizon will play Teddie Salazar previously played by Toni Gonzaga, Alexa Ilacad will play Bobbie, Bea Alonzo’s character, Gillian Vicencio is Alex, Angel Locsin’s role and Belle Mariano will take over Shaina Magdayao’s role, Gabbie. Meanwhile, the casting for the role of CJ or Rebreb previously played by Enchong Dee is still ongoing.
The story will be set 10 years before the events of the first movie, during the four sisters' teenage days. The movie will be directed by Giselle Andres who served as assistant director of the first movie which is directed by Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina.
People have mixed reactions with the announcement of the prequel especially because the original cast will no longer reprise their role but as per the director Ms. Giselle Andres, they already reached out to the original four sisters and informed them about the prequel that’s on the works. Possible cameo has not been ruled out yet.
