“Isang pakiusap. Think before you click” Angel Locsin speaks up about ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.





Discussions about ABS-CBN’s pending franchise renewal is all over the news right now. On Monday (Feb. 10, 2020) Office of the Solicitor General files quo warranto vs ABS-CBN asking for Supreme Court to forfeit its legislative franchise. ABS-CBN management are quick to refute the allegations by issuing official statements regarding the alleged violations. Supports for ABS-CBN poured in making #NotoABSCBNShutdown and #iStandwithABSCBN trend on twitter. However, not everyone sided with ABS-CBN, there are few who wants the franchise to be forfeited. Some Kapamilya stars air their opinion on this matter including Angel Locsin who asks everyone to “Think before you click.”


On her Instagram account, the actress posted series of photos with ABS-CBN cameramen, staff and crew of production and stressed about thinking before posting or saying anything.


The actress wrote on her caption “Bago po tayo magsalita, isiping mabuti kung makakasira ba ito ng buhay ng napakaraming tao. Kung ito ho ba ang tamang solusyon?”


The actress also reiterated how shutting down the network will affect thousands of families “Kung meron pong pagkakamali man, gawin po nating tama. Hindi po ang pagpapasara ng isang network ang makakatulong sa amin at sa pamilya po namin. We have families that rely on us kagaya nyo rin po. Konting pag-unawa lang po. Isang pakiusap.”




Angel Locsin has been with the Kapamilya network for more than a decade now and we can truly say, she found her home and second family in Kapamilya network hence the concern that she’s showing towards its employees who will be greatly affected if the franchise will be forfeited.

Sa ilang taon ko po sa ABS-CBN, nakilala at minahal ko ang mga tao dito. I have listened and known their stories — kung anong mga pinag-iipunan nila, magkano pa ang utang, sino ang nagkasakit... lahat pinagpapaguran para po sa pamilya nila.


I may have not renewed my contract with ABS since I’m preparing for my wedding, but these men will always be my family and I will stand by them. Mahal ko sila at hindi po ito drama kundi kung sino po ang mas magdurusa sa sitwasyong ito. Bago po tayo magsalita, isiping mabuti kung makakasira ba ito ng buhay ng napakaraming tao. Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
