Angel Locsin explains why she refused to sign her ABS-CBN contract.




June 2019, Angel Locsin and Neil Arce surprised everyone with their engagement. Angel Locsin was still doing ‘The General’s Daughter’ then.


At the finale press conference of the said show, Angel revealed that she will take a short break to prepare for her wedding and the actress is doing just that infact, in a recent post, the actress revealed that she opt not to renew her contract with ABS-CBN yet while her wedding preparation is ongoing.


Angel Locsin has been a Kapamilya for almost 13 years now. It was way back 2007 when the actress decided to take a leap on her career and transferred to other network. Kapamilya network has given Angel Locsin projects that elevated her talent in acting and her stature as an actress.




Her first teleserye in Kapamilya network has earned her a nomination in International Emmy Awards and every series after that became very successful and made her one of the most awarded actress in the industry.


It has been a great journey for Angel Locsin as a kapamilya and learning about the news that she opt not to renew her contract gained mixed reactions from her fans but we are all hoping that she will be renewing her contract after her wedding and that we will still see her greatness in the big screen and on TV.


Angel and Neil’s wedding are bound to happen this year. The couple haven’t revealed specific details yet but they are continuously giving hints that it will happen very soon. Everyone is excited for the big day! We can’t wait to witness one of the most anticipated event of the year!

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
