Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, Dimples Romana and other Kapamilya stars expressed their support and appreciation for the executives of ABS-CBN after their appearance at the Senate hearing on the network’s franchise on Monday. The Senate Committee on Public Service, led by Senator Grace Poe, called for a hearing to shed lights on the network's alleged violations cited in the quo warranto petition filed by the Solicitor General Jose Calida, asking the High Court to revoke ABS-CBN's broadcast franchise, which is set to expire in March. ABS-CBN’s President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chairman Mark Lopez, and Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes instantly captured the hearts of many as they answer questions intelligently and with calm demeanor.


Angel Locsin, a Kapamilya star since 2007, posted photos of her with CEO Mr. Carlo Katigbak and COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, with the caption that reads "Appreciation post for ABS-CBN bosses! Happy that Filipinos get to see how humble our ABS-CBN Bosses are. Ganyan po talaga sila kahit off cam!"





Bea Alonzo who is homegrown artist of ABS-CBN wrote on her caption “They are not just our bosses. They are FAMILY. You made us proud today being a KAPAMILYA. Salamat po.”


Dimples Romana also expressed her appreciation to ABS-CBN bosses and on her instagram post she wrote “Isang malaking pagsaludo to the most humble, kindest, most compassionate bosses and leaders #iStandWithABSCBN #intheserviceofthefilipino Salamat po for giving us more reasons to be proud as a Kapamilya today. we pray with you”


Apart from the three mentioned Kapamilya stars, other celebrities who similarly voiced out their support for ABS-CBN executives through social media are Coco Martin, Robi Domingo, Sylvia Sanchez, Karen Davila, and Nikki Valdez to name a few.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
