Angel Locsin attests to humility of ABS-CBN bosses after trending Senate appearance!




ABS-CBN’s pending franchise renewal has been one of the hot topics these past few days. Their franchise will be expiring in a few months and talks about the possibility of their franchise not being renewed concerns Kapamilya fans, its employees and artists.


Weeks after the solicitor general filed a quo warranto, ABS-CBN was given a chance to clear things up in the senate. ABS-CBN bosses, Mr. Mark Lopez, Mr. Carlo Katigbak and Ms. Cory Vidanez attended senate hearing and told their side of the story.


BIR, NTC, SEC, and DOLE cleared the company of all the accused violations which only means that the company is in compliant with all the rules and regulations binding their franchise.




The senate hearing also showed the public how’s the ABS-CBN bosses are like. Mr. Carlo Katigbak’s humility and calm demeanor answering questions with grace even though he’s under pressure made him the most talked about on twitter.


Angel Locsin attested to humility of ABS-CBN bosses. After the senate hearing Angel posted photos of her with ABS-CBN bosses taken way back 2018 when she signed her 2-year contract and on her caption she wrote “Appreciation post for ABS-CBN bosses! Happy that Filipinos get to see how humble our ABS-CBN Bosses are. ganyan po talaga sila kahit off cam! #ABSCBNFranchise.”


Angel Locsin is a Kapamilya star since 2007 and has worked with these bosses for over a decade now and sure does know how ABS-CBN bosses are like off cam. She has been so outspoken of her support to ABS-CBN amid challenges to its franchise renewal.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
