Netizen called Angel Locsin “Darna” and thanked the actress for her relief initiative in Alitagtag Batangas.





Actress Angel Locsin has stepped in yet again to extend help to the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption that started last January 12, 2020.


Batangas has been greatly affected by the eruption where Locsin was spotted personally distributing packed donation goods to evacuees in Calaca and Alitagtag.


Following a recent article about Angel spending the whole night packing relief goods, she has once again proven that she is one of the most generous and compassionate celebrities in the country by not only providing monetary and in kind donations but also mobilizing her own relief operation and making sure that her presence is felt every time.




A netizen with a Twitter handle @johnpatrickmacs shared a video of the actress at an evacuation center in Alitagtag, Batangas checking on the victims and distributing the relief goods herself.

He said, “Maraming Salamat, @143redangel! Umulan ng biyaya sa mga evacuees ng aming bayan sa pamamagitan ng kapangyarihan ni Darna. ❤ Alitagtag Central School, Alitagtag, Batangas.”


Prior to that, Angel even took to Twitter an inquiry to better assess the needs of all the towns affected by the sudden eruption which her followers immediately responded with helpful information.


On the tweets and comments, netizens addressed Angel as the real-life ‘Darna' who needs no superpowers to help out and it instantly trended on social media. Her recent philanthropic acts also made headlines for days.


Angel was included in the last year's Forbes Philanthropy List for aiding disaster relief efforts, among other causes and her relief effort in Batangas is one of the many reasons why she deserves such recognition, respect and admiration.

Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
