'Darna' trends as Angel Locsin initiates another relief operation to help Taal Volcano victims!





We are not even surprised! “Darna” effortlessly enters the Philippines trends again on Twitter yesterday because of Angel Locsin’s post about helping the victims of Taal Volcano eruption.


On a tweet, she said: “Anyone here na may na-conduct na assessment kung anong mga kailangan, anu-anong baranggays at ilang families per baranggay? Thank you #Taal”


Netizens laud the Kapamilya actress for her relief efforts that she does so consistently whenever the country is hit by natural disasters, saying that she really is the real Darna.


Her followers quickly respond and a netizen with a Twitter username @Macaryooo said:

“Darna, here are the updated list of evacuation centers in Batangas and organizations that collect donations in cash and kind. Just in case you need it.”


Meanwhile, Twitter user @roshmorev shared the list of evacuation centers in Batangas.




The actress’ act of philanthropy earns praises and some of them are as follows:

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
