Darna is at it again! Angel Locsin proves time and again that not all superheroes wear capes!





Hailed as one of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy, actress Angel Locsin proves, time and again, that not all superheroes wear capes!


Just recently, photos of the actress packing donation boxes during relief operations for Taal Volcano victims surfaced online and went viral.


On a post made by netizen, it appears that the actress spent an entire night packing the relief goods she donated herself amongst the others who were provided by fans, friends and families.


In the photos, Angel is seen arranging bags of donation goods along with a few volunteers. Another photo shows a large truck where boxes are sent for its immediate distribution to the affected areas in Batangas.




It is no surprise that this act of kindness without any media announcement whatsoever made headlines. Locsin has been long known for being always present when there’s a call for help during calamities.


Even before the actual relief operation, the actress inquiry about the urgent needs of the
Taal Volcano eruption victims online instantly created clamour which her followers immediately responded to and flooded her tweet with a thread of information on everything from evacuation centers to various firms accepting donations.


It also drew the attention of fans who addressed her as the real-life “Darna" in most of the tweets and comments. She did the same on her Instagram stories which her followers reposted on their own accounts and timelines.


After visiting the evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel listed down the accounting of the donated goods and thanked the donors and volunteers via post on Instagram. It drew much admiration from her followers and hopefully inspires more people to lend a hand.

Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
