Angel Locsin explains why she avoids discussing her charity efforts on cam.

Angel Locsin was recently named as the new ambassador of the anti-piracy program of Optical Media Board (OMB). This was announced in a press conference held on December 20, 2019 by OMB.

Angel, who is also known for her humanitarian work, personal advocacies, and support of the Philippine National Red Cross also mainly benefiting programs related to education, indigenous people, and fighting violence against women and children, is now lending her new voice to a new cause — a fight against piracy.

So dapat tulungan din natin ang industrying ‘to,” the actress said.

She also revealed that she had her share of own experiences of being victimized by piracy and how this crime affects the of people behind our dying movie industry.

During her interview after the press conference, it was inevitable that her recognition as one of the Heroes of Philanthropy by Forbes Asia was discussed despite her efforts to humbly dissented the remark.
