Angel Locsin bagged the award as VP Choice Awards’ TV Actress of the year!





VP Choice Awards is an award-giving body which gives recognition to the brightest stars in showbiz industry, to brands who excel in their field and to deserving individual who show brilliance in their craft.


Under their entertainment category, Angel Locsin earns a nomination as TV Actress of the year alongside other lead actresses of various television shows. Winners will be determined through a voting system of 50% from online votes, 30% from the VP editorial team and 20% from a panel of judges.


After online voting and careful deliberation of judges and the editorial team, Angel Locsin bagged the award as VP Choice Awards’ TV Actress of the year besting other nominees such as Dimples Romana, Max Collins, Bianca Umali, Kris Bernal and Thea Tolentino.




This award is given to TV actress who shared her vast talent in acting, and understood the requirement of her craft who also delivered outstanding performance in a leading role in a television series.


To date, Angel Locsin bagged 10 recognitions for her impeccable performance as Rhian Bonifacio majority of which is from various academic community.


No one can ever question Angel Locsin’s excellence in acting. For years that she’s been portraying various roles with various levels of complexity, she never fails to do an outstanding job breathing life to those characters and continuously outdoing herself just like what she’s done in ‘The General’s Daughter.’


‘The General’s Daughter’ is indeed the perfect material for Angel’s primetime bida comeback. Five years after the phenomenal ‘The Legal Wife’, history seems to be repeating itself.


Apart from the record-breaking ratings both in AGB Nutam and Kantar Media, Angel is now reaping all the fruits of her labor through these recognitions handed to her by various award-giving bodies!

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
