‘The Generals Daughter’ wins a Household Favorite Award at the Anak TV Awards!





Billed as the biggest teleserye of 2019, ‘The General’s Daughter’ wrapped up its highly acclaimed story last Oct. 4. With positive feedbacks and overwhelming support from the viewers, the show is undoubtedly one of the most successful teleserye of 2019.


Few months after it ended, ‘The General’s Daughter’ has been consistently receiving recognitions from various award-giving bodies and just recently, the show won a Household Favorite Award at the recently concluded Anak TV Awards 2019.



‘The General’s Daughter’ together with two more shows under Dreamcape; Ang Probinsyano and Kadenang Ginto, were given the Household Favorite Award at the recently concluded Anak TV Awards 2019.





The now iconic Anak TV seal adorns several television programs that proudly display the seal of approval from the public attesting to their child-sensitivity.


To date, the show already bagged eight recognitions as Best Primetime TV series from various award giving bodies one of which is from PMPC, the most prestigious award-giving organization for TV in the country and we’re certain that it will not stop there!


The show will for sure bag more awards from various  award giving bodies in the future as it was really worthy of the recognition. More than the entertainment that the show brought to the viewers  each night, it also opened up topic and conversations that is socially relevant.


It tackled social issues and showed remarkable values. More than the heart tugging scenes and perfectly executed stunts, the values that the show was able to inculcate is what made it stood out from all of the local primetime TV shows produced this year.




Aside from giving recognition to television shows, Anak TV also honors personalities, as a matter of fact, Angel Locsin was hailed as one of Anak TV hall of famers way back 2014 for receiving the same award for 9 consecutive years.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
