As this year ends, we are also closing a decade, but what really happened over the past decade? Here’s a list of empowered women who ruled the scene over the past 10 years!

First on the list is Angel Locsin. Way back 2010, Angel Locsin geared towards a new project, ‘Imortal’, which is the second installment of her first teleserye as a Kapamilya, ‘Lobo.’


Over the past ten years, the actress topbilled three teleseryes; ‘Imortal’, ‘The Legal Wife’ and ‘The General’s Daughter.’ She also starred in 6 movies all of which are under starcinema.


It was at the same decade when Angel Locsin got most of her acting awards and became a critically acclaimed actress because of her impeccable performance as Cedes in the movie ‘In the Name of Love’ and as Grace in ‘One More Try.’ It has been nothing but an amazing decade for Angel Locsin!




Other empowered woman on the list is Bea Alonzo who has done countless successful movies and teleseryes over the past decade.


Anne Curtis is also on the list as she stars in various fantasy themed teleserye and numerous movies over the past decade.


Kathryn Bernardo who started as a child actress has grown a lot over the past decade and now became one of the most successful actresses in her generation.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
