JUST IN: Angel Locsin is the newest ambassador for Anti-Piracy Campaign appointed by Optical Media Board!
Last Dec. 20, 2019, Angel Locsin inks a memorandum of agreement with Optical Media Board as their newest ambassador for Anti-Piracy Campaign.
She signed the agreement with Optical Media Board Chair Atty. Anselmo Adriano and Executive Director Atty. Victor Luis Q. Padilla III.
Optical Media Board is a government agency dedicated to regulating the production, use and distribution of recorded media in the country.
With her recent recognitions as one of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropies and Ambassador for Peace and Humanitarian Advocate, Angel Locsin lends her voice anew as an anti-piracy ambassador.
ABS-CBN news correspondent Krishnan Ganiel posted photos of the actress while signing the agreement.
According to the agency, they handpicked Angel Locsin because of her reputation as a humanitarian and her exceptional ways of protecting the TV and film industry.
Angel is the second TV personality to become the Anti-Piracy Ambassador following Piolo Pascual in 2018.
Angel couldn’t be more grateful to be hailed as the agency’s newest ambassador, admitting that she did not think twice to accept the offer.
The actress will be part of Optical Media Board’s activities, from promoting intellectual property rights to supporting the Anti-Piracy Campaign in social media.
For years, pirated DVDs and personal copies on flashdrives are going around in split second days after the movie was released affecting the movies’ gross which also affects the earnings of the people who worked hard behind the film.
Angel Locsin encourages everyone to be part of the campaign and to prevent piracy at all costs.
Congratulations Angel! We are so proud of you!
