“A woman who’s making her mark not just in entertainment but in philantrophy.” Politician Ruffy Biazon to Angel Locsin

Ruffy Biazon, the incumbent Representative of Muntinlupa in the Philippine House of Representatives, chanced upon Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin at the concert of Irish rock band U2 in Philippine Arena, Bulacan.

On Twitter, he shared a photo of them together with the caption:

“A woman who’s making her mark not just in entertainment but in philantrophy. She could be part of U2’s tribute to women when they performed UltraViolet. It was a pleasure to meet her at the concert. @143redangel #u2 #U2TheJoshuaTree2019 #U2inManila”

During the Philippine leg of the band's "The Joshua Tree Tour" promoted by MMI Live, Bono, the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of U2 has paid tribute to Filipinas who “re-write history” through a video showing some of the world’s feminist icons that features our very own Melchora Aquino, Lea Salonga, Pia Cayetano and Cory Aquino. It was played while the band played
“Ultraviolet.”

“When women of the world unite to re-write history as 'her story,' that is a beautiful day,” Bono said before performing the song.

“But it's not about individuals. It's about collective action. It's about social movement, so that all of you will grow up to be the President," he added.

And I must agree with Sir Ruffy, Angel Locsin could have been part of that tribute had Bono known how Angel makes a difference, positive changes and influence in the country in more ways than one.
