A Japanese IT professional picks Angel Locsin as his Favorite Actress, recommends two of her movies on Netflix!




Harold Pineda Showbiz Journal, a Facebook media page spotted a Japanese IT professional who wrote an article about his 5 most recommended Philippine Movies on Netflix.


The Japanese writer also mentions that Angel Locsin is one his favorite actresses who appears in two of his top picks movies on Netflix,  “Everything About Her” and “Four Sisters And a Wedding.”




“Everything About Her” is 2016 Filipino comedy-drama film directed by Joyce Bernal serves as a comeback for the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto and earned numerous accolades in different award-winning bodies locally and abroad!


Angel plays the role of Jaica hired by Vivian (Vilma), a headstrong and successful businesswoman, as a private nurse after finding out that she has a stage 3 cancer. Jaica begins to play a bigger role in Vivian's life as she becomes the bridge between Vivian and her son Albert (Xian Lim) who has felt neglected by her mother all his life.


“Four Sisters And a Wedding” is 2013 Filipino comedy-drama film directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and critically acclaimed as one of Philippines' best films of all time.


The film features Star Cinema's most prominent actresses: Angel Locsin (Alex), Bea Alonzo (Bobbie), Toni Gonzaga (Teddie) and Shaina Magdayao (Gabbie). This is a story of a family, specifically, of four sisters attempting to stop the wedding of their younger brother, Rebreb, played by Enchong Dee.




Anne Curtis’ “BUY BUST,” Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga’s “You’re My boss,” and John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s “A Second Chance” are also on the recommended list.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
