It is no secret that Angel Locsin has a heart of gold! She is one of a kind in showbiz known not just for her beauty and talent but also for her humanitarian service and philanthropy.


Befitting her name, she’s always first to respond each time there is a calamity to alleviate the situation of the victims just like what she did recently in quake-stricken Mindanao.




Forgoing the comfort of her home, she flew to Davao with fiancé Neil Arce to personally mobilize a relief operation for the earthquake victims and similar to how she does it every time, there were no presence of media to document her good deeds.


No wonder why she is dubbed as a superhero, the Darna in reel and real life. Many are in awe as she consistently takes part in charity works and those who witnessed and captured her kindness and generosity are the ones who tell the world the things she does off cam.


A Facebook user who goes by name Maya Gabunales Barol is one. On a post she shared how Angel helped a baby’s hospital needs. The caption went:

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
