“A true humanitarian indeed” — PH Red Cross to Angel Locsin





Darna has landed in Mindanao! Angel Locsin once again spread her wings and flew to Davao to extend assistance to the victims of the Mindanao Quake.


News about her visit suddenly blew up after a Netizen posted series of photos of her spotted at a supermarket buying goods for their relief operation. After then, everyone expressed their admiration to the actress.


Her consistency in helping others is really commendable. Year 2009, she spearheaded a fund raising campaign among her fellow celebrities called Shop and Share with her friends Anne Curtis and Dimples Romana for the benefits of the victims of Typhoon Ondoy.




She also auctioned her vintage car way back 2013 and proceeds were used to fund classrooms in areas which were badly affected by typhoon Yolanda.


She was also one of the first ones to respond and visit the displaced in the war-striken Marawi years back. All these efforts are in collaboration with Philippine Red Cross.


“A true humanitarian indeed” that’s what Ph Red Cross has to say about Angel Locsin. In a post on their official Facebook account, they wrote, “Darna has landed in Mindanao.


Following a series of powerful earthquakes which jolted areas in Mindanao, Angel Locsin personally came to Davao del Sur to extend help.Together with her fiance, Neil Arce, the couple brought items for distribution and even helped the volunteers of Davao del Sur Chapter load the boxes into trucks.


Locsin has been supporting the Philippine Red Cross for a long time and has participated during relief packing and distributions since Typhoon Ondoy.

For the past years, Angel Locsin has shown consistency in helping others the best way she can. She is indeed an Angel in disguise, a real-life superhero, a real-life Darna.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
