Maricel Soriano on Angel Locsin: “Nakapahusay ni Angel sa eksenang ‘yun.”




Three weeks before The General’s Daughter finale, the action-drama series made an unexpected turn that ended the lives of two of the show’s most affecting characters portrayed by The Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano, and Arjo Atayde.


It raked thousands of positive reactions on social media making it the top trending topic nationwide and worldwide last.


Its video clip on Facebook posted by ABS-CBN Entertainment also hit over a million views in less than 24hrs proving the quality of drama, an indelible performance led by Angel Locsin.


During the show’s finale Grand Press Conference held at Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN last week, The Diamond Star Ms. Maricel Soriano commended Angel Locsin’s superlative acting on that tragic scene and her depiction of Rhian Bonifacio overall.




“Nakapahusay ni Angel sa eksenang ‘yun. Magaling na magaling si Angel dito sa The General’s Daughter. Pinaghirapan, pinagpaguran niya para sa lahat sa inyong nagmamahal sa kanya,” the Diamond Star said.


It can be remembered that after kicking off with a daring rescue operation by Angel’s Rhian infiltrating a foreign vessel and introducing locals Nanang Isabelle (Maricel Soriano) and Elai (Arjo Ataydo) who gave her refuge after being washed up onshore at Barrio Sto. Franciso unconscious and wounded, it tells a well-written narrative about Rhian’s espionage as she navigates through the conflicted double-life she grew up in.


When she failed her suspenseful military espionage, she went back to Isla Payapa to seek refuge once again.


A trained assassin but naturally good-hearted, Rhian found peace in Manang Isabelle and Elai’s care, the characters played by Ms. Maricel Soriano and Arjo Atayde respectively.


This is where she witnesses a simple life full of unconditional love, good morale and genuine happiness which awakens what her heart really desires far from the manipulative world Tiago held her in.


The General’s Daughter is set to air its finale on October 4 and viewers can’t get enough of excitement and thrill on the next reveal every time.


Viewers and fans are nonstop exchanging their ideas and own theories of how the ending will roll out.


No wonder why this serye consistently tops the ratings game against all rivals and is being talked about on Twitter and other social media platforms for its fresh offerings rejecting the overly familiarized tropes of teleseryes.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
