Certified Multi-Awarded Primetime Queen! Angel Locsin wins anew as PMPC’s Best Drama Actress!




It was just a few days ago when we heard about Angel Locsin’s new recognition as Edukcircle’s Best TV actress and a day after she received the award, Angel Locsin wins anew as PMPC’s Best Drama Actress!


Last Oct. 13, 2019, PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for TV was held at Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo de Manila University.


PMPC is one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies in the country. It is an annual event recognizing the outstanding programming produced by the several TV networks in the Philippines.


Angel Locsin is this year’s PMPC Star awards for TV Best Drama Actress besting among her co-nominees; Dimples Romana, Max Collins, Nora Aunor, Jodi Sta. Maria, Beauty Gonzales, Yasmien Kurdi, and Bela Padilla.


Angel Locsin brought home the award for her outstanding performce as Rhian Bonifacio in The General’s Daughter.




Angel Locsin personally accepted the award and thanked everyone who made sure that she is always at her best in the show.


She expressed her gratitude to her  The General’s Daughter family, her co-actors, producers, and the show’s director, Direk Manny Palo.


She also did not forget to mention and extend her gratitude to everyone who supported the show, to the viewers and fans who never gets tired of tuning in with them weeknights and making them the country’s most trending topic.


Lastly, Angel Locsin expressed her warmest and most heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to her fiancé, Neil Arce.


It is safe to say that Angel Locsin is a certified Multi-Awarded Primetime Queen! As of this writing, she already bagged five best actress awards for her magnificent performance as Rhian Bonifacio!


It is without a doubt that she is one of the best if not the best actress in the industry.


It was indeed a mission accomplished for The General’s Daughter! Apart from Angel Locsin’s Best Drama Actress Award, the show was hailed as the Best Primetime Drama Series, Arjo Atayde emerged as the Best Supporting Drama Actor for his role as Elai and Ms. Janice de Belen is this year’s Best Supporting Drama Actress!

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
