Angel Locsin’s Jaica of Everything About Her is one of Star Cinema’s Guardian Angels in STOP, LOOK and LIST it!
Recently, Star Cinema celebrates the guardian angels in our lives through its STOP, LOOK and LIST it vlog segment by reminiscing the kind hearted characters from the movies it produced.
Angel Locsin’s Jaica Domingo of Everything About Her enters the list and it totally brings us back to how she became a saving grace like a real Angel to the lives of Vivian played by Star for All Seasons, Vilma Santos-Recto and her son, Albert (Xian Lim).
She was hired by Vivian, a headstrong and successful businesswoman, as a private nurse
after finding out that she has a stage 3 cancer.
Jaica begins to play a bigger role in Vivian's life as she becomes the bridge between Vivian and her son Albert who has felt neglected by her mother all his life.
This 2016 Filipino comedy-drama film directed by Joyce Bernal serves as a comeback for the Star for All Seasons and earned numerous accolades in different award-winning bodies locally and abroad!
One of the most heart-stirring scenes in this movie is when Vivian finds out that her son already knows about her condition through Jaica who divulge it out of goodwill despite the consequence of medical confidentiality breach.
Ate Vi delivered this heartbreaking performance incredibly with aplomb and Angel who has equally impressive ploy of Jaica, is also commendable for presenting an irresistible charm and affection while battling her character’s very own moments of breakdown.
The longingly look of Vivian at her son and uncalled-for hug and gratefulness to Jaica are also one of those emotional scenes in this movie that will surely move you to tears.
‘Angelito, Ang Pasaway na Anghel’ of Pak Pak! My Dr. Kwak (Zaijian Jaranilla), “Benjie, The Undead Bestfriend” of Kusina Kings (Empoy Marquez), Abie of My Perfect You (Pia Wurtzbach) and “Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa” (Camille Prats) also made it to the list of Star Cinema’s Guardian Angels.
