Angel Locsin wins big as Edukcircle’s Best Actress in a Television Series!




As previously reported, The General’s Daughter cast dominate the list of nominees in acting award category at the 9th Edukcircle Awards and just recently, Angel Locsin emerge as the best actress in a television series!


The EdukCircle recognizes exemplary performances of personalities in Film, Television and Music.


The Academy of EdukCircle Jury composed of deans, professors and school officials from hundreds of universities all over the country chose this year’s winners in various categories.


Among the nominees as Best Actress in a television series; Angel Locsin, Dimples Romana, Beauty Gonzales, Jodi Sta. Maria, Jo Beri, Angel Locsin wins big as this year’s  Edukcircle Best Actress!




Her exemplary performance as Rhian Bonifacio in a top rated show The General’s Daughter earned her this award.


Truly, Angel Locsin gave it her all for this series; from her death-defying stunts that never fail to put the viewers on the edge of their seat to the heart-wrenching drama scenes that made the viewers shed a tear or two.


Because of her excellence as Rhian Bonifacio, to date, she already received not one, not two, but four best actress awards for the role!


Angel Locsin and The General’s Daughter’s powerhouse cast never disappoint!


They perfectly compliment each other and the chemistry that they send off the screen is incomparable.


In fact, aside from Angel Locsin, Ms. Eula Valdes and Mr. Albert Martinez was also recognized by Edukcircle as best supporting actress and best supporting actor in a television series respectively!



It is not all the time that we got to see a show that houses the best of the best from various generation.


The story, the cast and the show’s unconventional way of storytelling are just few of the many reasons why The General’s Daughter is billed as this year’s biggest teleserye.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
