Angel Locsin is ALTA Media Icon Awards’ Most Influential TV personality!





Merriam-webster dictionary defines influence as the power or capacity of causing an effect in indirect or intangible ways  and having great influence makes someone influential which perfectly describes Angel Locsin.


ALTA Media Icon Awards’ honors Angel Locsin as the Most Influential TV personality at the recently concluded ALTA Media Icon Awards 2019 held last October 17.


ALTA Media Icon Awards or AMIA is a students’ choice award-giving body that aims to honor outstanding media programs, personalities and organizations that have contributed to the country’s social development and promoted Filipino values anchored on the Perpetualite philosophy of “Character Building is Nation Building.”


After being recognized as the most admired female personality in the country by YouGov, Angel Locsin is also being recognized as one of the most influential actresses in the country.




It is not the first time that she received a recognition for being influential as she just recently lands on the list of Cosmo’s Women of Influence because of her unending humanitarian efforts that’s been very consistent through the years.


ALTA Media Icon Awards honors Angel Locsin for being a good influence on national TV.


For the past year, Angel made such bold moves on national TV as one of Pilipinas Got Talent’s judges that’s been very remarkabale.


Majority lauded her courage to stand her ground against woman objectification, her compassion to a contestant who can’t speak Filipino and her genuine kindness towards every performer.


Her influence was also proven through her show ‘The General’s Daughter’ that was well perceived by the viewing public.


It is true that celebrities are one of the most influential people in the country. They can persuade people into buying a product they are endorsing effortlessly. Their views and opinions about a certain matter do make an impact.




As public figures, they also have this unwritten responsibility to use their influence for the greater good and obviously, Angel Locsin is using hers the best way possible not only for her own advantage but also for others.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
