Watch: Angel Locsin apologizes to fans from GenSan for missing the Tuna festival due to health issues!




“Hindi man nakapunta sa GenSan si @143redangel dahil sa masamang pakiramdam, ginawan ng paraan ng @abscbnregional1 at @DreamscapePH na magbigay ng pormal na paumanhin at humingi ng pangunawa sa mga taga GenSan via phone patch.


Maraming salamat po sa pangunawa, mga taga-Gensan❤️,” Dreamscape Entertainment said on a tweet earlier today.


Angel Locsin together with her co-stars, in the hit primetime series -The General’s Daughter, was set to grace the Tuna Festival in General Santos City to give thanks to a bountiful harvest and catch of Tuna, a product GenSan is very famous for.


However, due to muscle strain and difficulty of breathing, Angel didn’t make it to the event because she was advised to go on bed rest for 3 days as indicated on the medical certificate the actress shared on her Instagram account. Fans were rather worried than disappointed for the actress’ abrupt absence.




“I’m so sorry Gen San Super excited pa naman akong makasama kayo don’t worry, I’m okay... masamang damo alam nyo na... hehehe. Pero babawi po ako sa inyo pag punta ko dyan. Promise po magpaparaffle ako sa show,” Angel also added on her post.


Angel might haven’t been able to attend the Kapamilya Karavan in GenSan, JC de Vera, Paulo Avelino, Arjo Atayde, Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte were there to fill her absence and complete the fiesta celebration with their fans at KCC Conventions and Events Center.


The “Kapamilya Karavan” program of ABS-CBN Regional brings actors and actresses closer to the people as they celebrate important town festivals annually.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
