The General’s Daughter TRIUMPHS as one of the Most watched TV Programs in August!





“ABS-CBN once again led nationwide TV ratings for the seventh straight month this year, with nine out of the 10 most watched programs in the country produced by the Kapamilya network, according to Kantar Media,” said on a report by ABS-CBN News.


Earlier today, ABS-CBN PR took to Instagram the list of the Top 10 Most watched TV programs in August nationwide where Kapamilya shows are obviously dominating. The caption went:

“Hindi po ito posible kung hindi dahil sa inyo, mga Kapamilya. Thank you for the love!”


Leading the list is the long-running “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” with an average nationwide rating of 35.8% for the month, followed by “The Voice Kids” that registered 35.5%.




Angel Locsin’s “The General’s Daughter” came in third with an average nationwide rating of 30.9% beating all its rival programs since day 1.


Also part of the top 10 are “Hiwaga ng Kambat” (30.6%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.2%), “TV Patrol” (28.1%), “Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet” (24.2%), “Kadenang Ginto” (22.7%) and “The Killer Bride” (22.5%). GMA Network’s “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” ranked seventh in the list with 27.2%.


Coco Martin and Angel Locsin’s top rating action-packed series proves that they are the today’s KING and QUEEN of primetime!


It’s really great to see that this Angel Locsin’s The General’s Daughter is going steady and winning neck and neck with Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as one of the most watched TV programs.


Not only that, it is consistently predominating and gaining a good traction both on social media and even on global viewership.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
