The General’s Daughter cast dominates the list of PMPC Star Awards for TV nominees in various categories!




Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for TV will be holding its 33rd awards night this coming October to recognize the outstanding TV programs produced by several TV networks and outstanding actors in the Philippines.


Just recently, the nominees for the 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Television have been revealed and The General’s Daughter cast dominates the list!


The General’s Daughter is nominated as Best Primetime TV series alongside FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Ngayon at Kailanman and Halik to name a few.



Angel Locsin who played the role of Rhian Bonifacio/ Arabella de Leon is one of the eight wonderful actresses nominated for Best Drama Actress Category.


For Best Drama Supporting Actress, Rhian’s Mama Corazon (Ms. Eula Valdes), Manang Sabel (Ms. Maricel Soriano) and Amelia (Ms. Janice de Belen) are all nominated.





Mr. Albert Martinez who plays the role of Gen. Marcial de Leon, Arjo Atayde who ace his character as Elai, Paulo Avelino who plays as Franco Segismundo, Rhian’s love interest, and Mr. Tirso Cruz III who is the main villain in the story are among the nominees for Best Drama Supporting Actor Category.



The show’s powerhouse cast is one of the many reasons why The General’s Daughter is billed as the biggest teleserye of 2019.


Eight months on air and they are already reaping nominations because of their exemplary performance.


Aside from all the nominations mentioned above, Angel Locsin will also be receiving a special award as one of the 12 TV Queens at the Turn of the Millennium together with her fellow kapamilya stars: Bea Alonzo, Judy Ann Santos, Kathryn Bernardo, Kim Chiu, Liza Soberano, and Maja Salvador.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
