It marked the start of cinema as an art form in the Philippines.


Exactly one hundred years later, Film Development Council of the Philippines commemorates Philippine cinema’s centennial anniversary through Sine Sandaan: Celebrating the Luminaries of Philippine Cinema.


The event honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine cinema in front or behind the camera.


About 300 individuals are honored as luminaries at the said event.




It was a celebration of success, growth and the thriving Philippine cinema industry.


For this grand event, attendees were chauffeured by a Limousine and walked on the red carpet wearing their most fashionable Filipiniana ensemble.


Angel Locsin is one of the 300 luminaries who attended the event and with her is her dashing fiancé Neil Arce.


Angel Locsin’s eye-catching beauty shines bright at the red carpet as she walks alongside her dashing date, her fiancé Neil Arce.


The couple gamely posed for photos, giving their best smiles.


They were one of the most talked about attendees of Sine Sandaan.


As of this writing, their photos that were posted on DreamcapePH ‘s official Instagram account garnered thousands of likes and were flooded by comments from Netizens who were amazed by how stunning the couple looks.


They were also photographed with some of the notable personalities in Philippine movie industry like Regal Films founder and owner, Mother Lily Monteverde and Film Development Council of the Philippines Chairperson, Ms. Liza Dino.




Angel Locsin was also seen posing for photos with fans who waited for her at the red carpet and entertaining questions from the media people.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
