Sine Sandaan aims to honor individuals who have greatly contributed to the thriving film industry in the Philippines.


It was a star-studded event attended by the biggest and the brightest stars from various generations. This grand celebration was held at the New Frontier Theater last Sep. 12, 2019.


Film Development Council of the Philippines made sure that this event will be one for the books and will forever go down in history of the film industry.


Attendees were chauffeured by a limousine and walked on the red carpet wearing their Filipiniana ensemble.


Other stars wore the traditional Baro’t Saya, Barong Tagalog, the classic patadyong and some made their own twist to it.




Among the sea of stars wearing their best Filipiniana outfits, Preview.ph listed 10 best dressed celebrities who are a certified head turners at the red carpet.

First on the list is Anne Curtis wearing a simple and sleek little black dress.


Bea Alonzo comes in second wearing Neric Beltrans creation.


Fresh from the success of her movie Hello Love Goodbye, Kathryn Bernardo slayed the red carpet wearing Steph Tan’s creation.


Gabbi Garcia also made it to the cut in her custom Michael Leyva ensemble.


Angel Aquino is also one of the best dressed spotted that night!


Our favorite, Angel Locsin, who looks stunning in her little black dress with an accent of local weaves which is a great creation of Michael Leyva also shines the brightest that night.


Styled by Cath Sobrevega and her team, Angel Locsin is a certified charmer at the red carpet with her dashing date, her fiancé Neil Arce.




Other ladies who shine the brightest at the red carpet among the sea of stars are Jean Gracia, Kim Chui wearing Kultura and Julianne Syjuco, Iza Calzado in Jolaida Niccolai ensemble and Ruby Rodriguez in Mara Chua creation.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
