Angel Locsin pays tribute to Maricel Soriano and Arjo Atayde; Sylvia Sanchez and Ria Atayde react!




Three weeks before The General’s Daughter finale, the action-drama series made an unexpected turn that ended the lives of two of the show’s most affecting characters portrayed by The Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano, and Arjo Atayde.


It raked thousands of positive reactions on social media making it the top trending topic nationwide and worldwide.


Its video clip on Facebook posted by ABS-CBN Entertainment also hit over a million views in less than 24hrs proving the quality of drama, an indelible performance led by Angel Locsin.


Angel felt beyond grateful to have been able to work with Ms. Maricel Soriano and Arjo Atayde and wrote on her Instagram:

“Hirap akong isulat to kasi ayokong magpaalam

Inay Marya, thank you, thank you, thank you... I’m forever grateful for the honor to have worked with you. Hindi po mabubuo ang pagka-artista ko kung hindi po ako nabigyan ng opportunity na makatrabaho ang nag-iisang “Diamond Star” (na ayaw nya hong itawag sa kanya kasi ganun po siya ka-humble. Kahit ang dami na nyang napatunayan, gusto parin nya ay pantay pantay tayong lahat.)




She’s also very sweet and thoughtful. Lagi akong may gift from her na magagamit ko sa taping. Hanggang ngayon, kinikilig pa rin ako sa kindness na pinakita nya sakin.


Arjo, since day 1, I already know that we’ll get along really well. Despite having the hardest role in TGD in my opinion, it’s amazing how you can switch from being Arjo na makulit, masarap kausap...Yung tawa lang tayo ng tawa pag may mga nangyayaring “eksenahan” off cam habang blocking, hehehe —


To Elai, na obviously, ibang-iba sa personality mo in seconds, I have so much respect and admiration sayo, bro. Paulit-ulit kitang pasasalamatan. This heartfelt message pretty much sums up all our reactions and admiration to these two actors who did nothing but extraordinary performances as Nanang Isabelle and Elai.




Arjo’s mother, the veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, and her sister Ria Atayde, couldn’t help but react on the post.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
