The General’s Daughter cast dominates 9th EdukCircle Awards’ list of nominees in acting award categories!





The EdukCircle will be holding the 9th EdukCircle Awards this coming September and October 2019 to recognize exemplary performances of personalities in Film, Television and Music.


The Academy of EdukCircle Jury which is composed of deans, professors and school officials from hundreds of universities all over the country will choose this year’s winners in various categories.


Just recently, the EdukCircle releases set of nominees per category and The General’s Daughter cast dominates the said list for acting award categories!


Ms. Eula Valdes who’s playing as Corazon de Leon, Ms. Janice de Belen who’s popularly known as Amelia Guerrero and Ms. Maricel Soriano are all nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a television series.




Mr. Albert Martinez, Tirso Cruz III and Arjo Atayde are all in the running to covet the best supporting actor award.




Because of their exemplary performance, The General’s Daughter lead star, Angel Locsin and her leading man Mr. Paulo Avelino are two of the great personalities who can bring home the best actress and best actor award.



Their portrayal as Rhian Bonifacio and Franco Segismundo always surpass viewers’ expectations leaving them in awe with their performance.


The General’s Daughter’s powerhouse cast never disappoint!


They perfectly complement each other and the chemistry that they send off the screen is incomparable.


It is not all the time that we got to see a show that houses the best of the best from various generation.


The story, the cast and the show’s unconventional way of storytelling are just few of the many reasons why The General’s Daughter is billed as this year’s biggest teleserye.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
