LOOK: Angel Locsin’s engagement photo sets a PH record for reaching over 1 million likes!




Yesterday, the engagement photo of Angel Locsin and Neil Arce just reached a million likes on Instagram!


The couple announced the engagement news by taking to Instagram a series of photos on June 29.


Angel and Neil have been reported dating in 2017 and official became a couple in January 2018 as confirmed by the Kapamilya actress in one of her interviews.


They have been close friends for eight years and were each other’s shoulder to cry on during their mending their broken heart moments in the past.


In one of the engagement photos, Angel Locsin simple wrote, ““We’re engaged! Waaaaaaaaaah!.”


Everyone was thrilled and sent their congratulations and well wishes to the newly engaged couple on the comments and news feed.


The said engagement photo instantly received various reactions from fans, their family, friends and showbiz colleagues and has just set a Philippine record for having over 1 million likes on Instagram.


With the million-strong likes, Angel’s post is one of the few celebrities from the Philippines to reach the milestone, alongside Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach, Anne Curtis and Liza Soberano.


The General’s Daughter star was quick to thank everyone by posting a story on Instagram saying, “OMG THANKS! 1M likes!❤️ THANKS SO MUCH.”




As of this writing, the said post now has 1,002,032 likes and 41,270 comments.


Congratulations, Angel! You deserve all the good things life has to offer!

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
