Angel Locsin tops the list of most admired women in the Philippines!





Angel Locsin is one of the most loved personalities in the country.


Her personality, body of work and the causes she support set her apart from her contemporaries.


No doubt, she was admired by many, her number of social media followers is one proof but there is a more reliable research that sets the record clear, Angel Locsin is the most admired woman in the Philippines!


YouGov is a British International internet-based market research and data analytics firm headquartered in the UK.


It specializes in market research through online method that involves obtaining responses from an invited group of Internet users, and then weighting these responses in line with demographic information.


Just recently, they released the list of World’s Most Admired people of 2019 and Angel Locsin emerge on top of the most admired woman in the Philippines!


As explained by YouGov, it was December last year when they gathered open-ended nominations from panelists across 41 countries.


The nominations were then used to compile a list of 20 men and 20 women who received the most nominations and were nominated in at least four countries.


They also added 10 popular local figures to the list for each country.




They conducted a fieldwork from March to June and used these lists to poll each of the 41 countries.


“Altogether, we polled in countries that constitute more than two-thirds of the world's population. However, some parts of the world were better represented than others, so we weighted up the impact certain countries had on the final scores and weighted down others so the global scores more accurately reflect the breakdown of sentiment in the world overall.” - YouGov


Angel Locsin tops the list of the most admired women in the Philippines and we couldn’t agree more!


The actress expressed her gratitude through a tweet and said, “Hindi po ako naniniwala...pero kung totoo man, maraming salamat po”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
