The General’s Daughter, hailed as the most-watched TV program in May!




Angel Locsin is definitely queening in her genre!


Befitting the monicker, ACTION-DRAMA QUEEN, her explosive return on primetime in the top rating soap, The General’s Daughter rakes the highest viewership in May based on the Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) Household TV ratings by AGB Nielsen Philippines!


More intense scenes and happenings undoubtedly courted a bigger audience last month making the Angel Locsin starrer series a runaway winner.


It can be recalled that it was in May when the biggest revelation yet took over us by storm and won the ratings game by a landslide.


A Twitter user with the handle @AngelLocsin_123 recently shared the top 20 programs for May 2019 in which The General’s Daughter triumphs not only in its primetime slot against its rival “Sahaya” but also leads the said ratings game overall.


The ABS-CBN’s action-packed series earned a total audience share of 33.8 percent average beating the already established primetime champ ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ with a total of 33.2 percent average taking the second spot on the list.


“Idol Philippines” came in third with 32.9% followed by GMA Network’s Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho with 31.5%. Maalala Mo Kaya took the fifth spot with 30.2%, Rated K ranked 6th with 28.7% followed by three other Kapamilya shows that only proves how ABS-CBN continues to dominate the nationwide TV ratings.

It’s great to see that this Angel Locsin starrer action drama tv series is going steady as the most watched TV program in NUTAM and is consistently predominating and gaining a good traction both on social media and national viewership.


With both NUTAM and Kantar Media, agreeing in one aspect, this new primetime champ is totally setting the bar high for teleseryes and is much deserving of all the hype and praises.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
