WATCH: Ryza Cenon reveals that she gets nervous around Angel Locsin during their scenes in The General’s Daughter.




Kapamilya actress Ryza Cenon recently admits getting nervous when having a scene with the multi-awarded actress, Angel Locsin. In a sit-down interview with Boy Abunda in his late night talk show, “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” Ryza unhesitatingly shared her thoughts about her role in “The General’s Daughter” and her feeling working with the the veteran actors of the show. She revealed that she’s afraid of making mistakes most especially when filming fight scenes with Angel.


“Kahit si ate Angel lalo na ‘pag sa fight scenes, sobrang kinakabahan ako kasi baka magkamali ako. Eh sobrang galing nya pa naman mag-fight scene,” she revealed.


“Si Ms. Eula yung mommy ko dun tapos tatay ko po si tito Albert Martinez so parang naku... bawal magkamali,” the actress added.


Boy commended Ryza for being so effective in the role and when asked if televiewers despise her, she quipped, “Kanina lang po may nang-away.”




Ryza also revealed, “Naiinis sila kasi syempre yung character ko as Jessie sobrang laking inggit niya kay Rhian e. Dahil feeling niya kasi nakikipagkumpetensya si Rhian sa kanya like gustong kuhanin lahat sa kanya. Si Ethan, and then yung family naging close kasi sa kanya, e sya kasi ampon so talaga yung insecurity nya sobrang laki. Takot na takot siyang mawala dun sa picture.”


Playing the antagonistic role of 1st Lieutenant Jessie De Leon, she also added that she had done a lot of preparations and studied the role carefully even prior to the show’s debut. She also revealed how the fight scenes are prepared and choreographed to make sure that no one will get hurt.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
